Arrive at Kilimanjaro International (JRO) Northern circuit safaris:
To get to JRO, you can travel with Qatar Airways, Kenya Airways, KLM, Turkish Airlines or Ethiopian Airlines.
If you wish to travel with British Airways, Air France, United Airlines, Qantas, Cathay Pacific, American Airlines, Delta, Lufthansa or Etihad, then you fly to Jomo Kenyatta in Nairobi, Kenya and then take another short flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).
Arusha Airport (ARK)
You can also choose to fly to Arusha Airport that has several local daily flights to safari destinations. Some of the local destinations include Manyara, Seronera and Kogatende. Should you wish to combine Safari and beach holidays, flights to Zanzibar, Mafia and Pemba are also available daily.
Julius Nyerere International, Dar es Salaam
Julius Nyerere International airport is serviced by several international airline carriers: Emirates, Etihad, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, Swiss, South African Airlines and KLM. Upon arrival, you have the option of boarding a connecting flight to any of the northern circuit or western circuit destinations, as well as Zanzibar if you so wish. It only takes five minutes to get to the domestic terminal, and all connecting flights are only about 2 hours long.
Note: Most of our itineraries require a night in either Arusha or Dar es Salaam before starting your Safari.
Charter Flights
For direct flights to all the national parks, choose a private charter aircraft. This means no lengthy pit stops. Instead, you can enjoy a private flight that can land at any time during daylight hours (before 6:30pm). The luggage weight limit for these flights is 20kg. Please contact our on-site Safari specialists for more details.
Local Airlines
Our local airlines are Air Excel, Costal Aviation, Regional Air, Northern Air, Auric Air and Flight Link. These airlines use Cessna Grand Caravans or similar aircrafts, which carry between 9 and 13 passengers.
Luggage Restrictions
Our local airlines don’t allow for hard shell luggage cases. Instead, please use soft sided suitcases and keep your luggage to 15 kg per passenger.
Regardless where you are flying to or from, our Safari consultants know the best routes to get you here. With over 30 years of experience in the safari industry rest assured you are in capable hands.
