This is one of the best opportunities to get close to nature and experience Tanzanian wildlife up close and personal. There are two options you can chose from: a two hour walk or a four hour hike.
Engage your senses as you trek through the wilderness. The sound of the nature surrounds you as your guide shows you how to identify animal tracks imprinted in the soil. The wilderness becomes even more real as you access remote areas on foot that you would not normally be able to access by vehicle. Step away from the well trodden path and experience the freedom of being able to wander as you please.
An armed and qualified guide will accompany you on your walking safari. This is a perfect opportunity to learn about the flora and fauna of the area. Our guide will happily teach you how to distinguish between different animal prints and how to track an animal. You will also be able to identify the sounds of animals.
We currently offer walking safaris in Serengeti and Tarangire.
In Serengeti you may choose the shorter option of a two hour walk in the Nyarusigwa area, or a longer four hour walk in Kilimafedha. This is a wonderful opportunity to get closer to nature and stretch your legs after all the game viewing from the safari vehicle. The best time to go on a walking safari is when the grass is not yet overgrown. So, get your hiking boots ready and contact us to enquire on how we can add a walking safari to your itinerary.
