Day1

Depart Moshi/Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your adventure begins with a morning pick up from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi. After a short briefing, you will jump into your safari car and head to Tarangire National Park. On the drive there, the beauty of Tanzania will unravel before you. When you arrive at the park, you will check in to your accommodation, deposit your belongings, and then head off on a game drive. This vast park gets its name from the Tarangire river that winds its way through the parklands. The river attracts many diverse animals to its waters, giving you a chance to spot elephants, giraffe, lions, antelopes, and zebra. After today’s game drive, you will head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Tarangire by foot

Although a game drive is an exhilarating experience, there is truly something magical about getting out of a vehicle and going for a walk in nature. So, today we will be walking along the boundaries of Tarangire national park. By foot, you will be able to take your time to ‘stop and smell the elephant dung,’ as the saying goes. This trip is a pleasing way to connect to nature and experience Tanzania’s rugged landscape. After today you will be well and truly ready for a warm meal and a cozy bed, so you will spend the night at a nearby lodge.

After breakfast, you will leave Tarangire National Park and head to Lake Manyara. Here you will enjoy an afternoon game drive, and eat lunch surrounded by nature once more. This park bursts with an array of amazing animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, unique tree-climbing lions, and large flocks of colorful flamingos. After today’s game drive, you will be driven to the nearby region of Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 5

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

In the morning, you’ll start your day with the birds, rising before the sun! After a warm breakfast, you will hop back in your jeep and experience the Serengeti at dawn. The dawn is prime wildlife viewing time! When you have had enough of the vast plains of the Serengeti, you will be driven out of the park and onto your next big adventure – the Ngorongoro Crater. You will spend that night near the edge of the crater. Here a warm meal and a calming atmosphere will invigorate you for your next day of Safari.

Day 4

Ngorongoro Crater

Your day will start bright and early, with a drive to the Ngorongoro Crater. This national park is breathtaking! The Crater is one of the natural wonders of the world and the best place in Tanzania to see the big five. As soon as you reach the edge of the Crater, you will recognize why this is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll find ancient elephant and playful zebra scattered amongst beautiful flora and fauna. The blues and greens of the Crater are a welcome break from the rugged gold and dust of the other parks. You’ll overnight along the outer edge of the Crater, feeling as though you’re amongst the clouds.

Drive to Serengeti via Olduvai Gorge game en route.

Excitement will hang in the air today as you drive towards the most well-known national park in the world – the Serengeti! Nicknamed the ‘cradle of mankind,’ this awe-inspiring creator is a wealth of natural wonder. The drive to the Serengeti is picturesque, and you may even spot some giraffes and zebra before you even reach the gates of the park. This park offers you the quintessential African Safari experience, with dusty planes and majestic wildlife. How about a hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti? Ask us about it! Before dusk settles, you will head back to your accommodation for dinner and rest.
